Within the framework of the international military-technical forum "Army-2020", participants of the scientific and business program discussed the creation of new models of military vehicles for existing units of the Airborne troops, as well as for units of the "new type". The purpose of the round table is to develop a common understanding of the issues of improving existing and creating new models of military vehicles, as well as identifying priority areas for development, creating innovative models of military vehicles, based on the tasks facing the Airborne troops.

During the dynamic display, the forum guests were shown the combat capabilities of not only modern military equipment, but also promising ones. One of the novelties was a promising robotic complex "Marker" produced by one of the Chelyabinsk enterprises of the defence industry. The capabilities of the robotic complex were evaluated by the Commander of the Central Military District, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin, during a dynamic demonstration of the combat capabilities of military equipment. According to the developers, the complex is designed on a modular principle and can be equipped with various weapons systems, depending on the nature of the tasks.

In Yekaterinburg, the number of weapons, military and special equipment used for display has increased by 30 percent compared to last year. Guests of the forum will be able to see more than 150 units of new and modernized equipment that is in service with the Central Military District troops. As part of the year of memory and glory, in order to preserve historical memory and to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic war of 1941-1945, together with the UMMC Museum and the Military and Patriotic recreation park "Patriot", the Central Military District for the first time deployed a cluster of historical equipment in the amount of 15 units that participated in the battles of the Great Patriotic war. The exhibition, along with the legendary Soviet T-34 tank, features the American M3 "Stewart" light tank, which is the most mass-produced in its class, and the British army's "Matilda" medium infantry tank. The exhibits also include Soviet SU-5-2 and SU-76M light artillery systems, BM-8-24 and BM-8-48 multiple rocket launchers, BA-10M armored vehicles, and the American "Willis MV" SUV.

At the opening of the international military-technical forum (IMTF) "Army-2020" in the Southern Military District (SMD) on the territory of the complex "Sambekskie heights" in the Rostov region, guests were presented with a patriotic educational project "partisan village". Guests of the forum got acquainted with the school of the saboteur, the reconnaissance trail and inspected the dugout, shelters, field club, canteen, bakery, bathhouse, medical center, red corner, weapons and ammunition depots of the partisan village of the Great Patriotic war.
