Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu studied the display of aircraft in Kubinka before the opening of the forum "Army-2020"

Today, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu visited an exhibition of the latest aircraft at the Kubinka airfield before the opening of the "Army 2020" forum.

Sergei Shoigu began by examining the closed part, where representatives of the military-industrial complex showed him a multi-purpose fighter of the fifth generation Su-57, an upgraded Mi-28NM attack helicopter and a promising heavy UAV "Okhotnik".

According to Ilya Tarasenko, CEO of "Sukhoi", some of the developments presented at the forum "have already been implemented and are being produced in series".

The Minister also got acquainted with the "Altius" UAV, Su-35S and MiG-35 fighters, Ka-52K, Mi-28T, and Mi-171Sh helicopters presented at the open part of the exhibition.

After the inspection, the crews of Su-57 and MiG-35 aircraft demonstrated the flight capabilities of this aircraft in the air.

The International Military and Technical Forum "Army-2020" is held from 23 to 29 August 2020 on the territory of the congress and exhibition center of the Russian Armed forces "Patriot", the Alabino training ground and Kubinka airfield. In addition, part of the demonstration shows will be held at the Ashuluk training ground in the Astrakhan region. They will be broadcast at the forum's venues in "Patriot" park.
