Military-technical forum "Army-2020" in Buryatia will be held on four sites, including for the first time in the "Sosnovy Bor" garrison in Ulan-Ude
"This year, military personnel of formations and military units of EMD will organize a large-scale military-technical forum "Army-2020" in Buryatia. The first forum will be held in four venues: in the town of Kyakhta on the central square and in the military camp of motorized formation in the city of Ulan-Ude - at the airport "Vostochnyi" and for the first time in a "Sosnovy Bor", - said the press service. The forum is scheduled for August 28-29.
Residents of two cities of Buryatia will be able to see modern weapons and military equipment. In total, the static display will feature about 60 units of military and special equipment, including nine of the latest models. "The platforms will display the "Iskander-M" operation-tactical complex, the T-72-B3 tank, the "Rtut-BM" radio interference station, "Infauna", anti-aircraft missile systems "TOR-M-2U", "Buk-M2", "Strela-10", the "Tornado-G" multiple launch rocket system, the "Rys" and "Tiger" armored vehicles, the "Msta-S" self-propelled artillery system, and the BTR - 82A, - specified in the EMD. Will be organized a display of aircraft factory (Ulan-Ude), special equipment of divisions of National Guard, DOSAAF, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, products instrument-making plant, samples of modern weapons and of the Great Patriotic wartime".
During the forum, residents of Ulan-Ude will be able to see maneuvers of amphibious assault groups, the performance of the army tactical shooting federation. In addition, a cultural and artistic program will be shown for guests, creative teams of formations and military units of the Ulan-Ude and Kyakhta garrisons will perform, and CSS personnel will cook for visitors the soldier's porridge and hot tea. "Mobile points of selection for military service under the contract will also be deployed," the EMD added.
The military-technical forum "Army 2020" will be held in an expanded format in 17 cities and seven localities on the territory of nine subjects of the Russian Federation - from the Republic of Buryatia to the Chukotka autonomous district, on 36 thematic platforms. For the first time, events are planned in Anadyr and the Kuril Islands. Special attention will be paid to sanitary and epidemiological safety measures when organizing and conducting "Army 2020".
