Issues on the preservation of historical memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War will be discussed at the Army-2020 Forum
Within the frameworks of the congress program of the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2020", the round-table discussion will be held on the following topic: "Heroes and antiheroes. Truth and myths about the Great Patriotic War".
In the current situation, it becomes especially important to preserve the historical memory of the heroes who defended the freedom and independence of people of Russia and other countries. The documents and materials from declassified federal and departmental archives about the Great Patriotic War will be presented in the course of this event.

The meeting was held by Major General Andrey M. GONCHAROV, the Head of the Chief Directorate of Scientific Studies and Engineering Support of Advanced Technologies (Innovative Research) of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, at the Patriot ExpoCentre.

The Russian Defence Minister held held teleconference with the leadership of the Armed Forces
Today the National Centre for State Defence Control in Moscow hosted another teleconference of Defence Ministry chaired by the General of the Army Sergei Shoigu.
Turning to the thematic part of the teleconference, the Defence Minister proposed to discuss the creation of the "Pion-NKS" satellite, which is an integral part of the "Liana" electronic intelligence system.

HEAD OF THE MILITARY DEPARTMENT CHECKED THE STATUS OF THE STATE DEFENCE ORDER EXECUTED BY THE ENTERPRISES OF THE MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX IN THE PERM TERRITORY
During his business trip to the Perm Territory, Sergei SHOIGU, the Minister of Defenсe of the Russian Federation, the General of the Army, has checked implementation of state defence order contracts by enterprises of the military industrial complex (MIC) located in this region.
In particular, Sergei SHOIGU has visited Mashinostroitel Perm Plant JSC, where the Head of the Military Department was informed about increasing technological production capabilities and promising projects on development of the latest high-precision weapons.

Today, an expanded meeting of Defence Ministry Board Session took place at the National Centre for State Defence Control of the Russian Federation, during which the results of the activities of the Armed Forces in 2019 were summed up and tasks for the next period were determined.
The President of the Russian Federation, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Vladimir Putin, addressed the members of the Session.

Today is our final meeting in the framework of the December meetings with Chief Executives of the Ministry of Defence and other departments, as well as enterprises of the military industrial complex. In the course of our work, the key development directions of the Navy were discussed. With the leaders of defence industrial organizations, we discussed the issues concerning implementation of state defence orders, primarily in the areas of construction, modernization, repair and maintenance of weapons and equipment of the Navy.

"CONTAINER" OVER-THE-HORIZON DETECTION SURVEILLANCE RADAR COMBAT CREWS ENTERED COMBAT DUTY IN 2019
In the Russian Aerospace Forces, the Container-type over-the-horizon detection surveillance radar combat crews entered the combat duty (Kovylkino settlement in the Republic of Mordovia).
The radar combat crews took part in the state tests. In cooperation with the commission, they conducted all inspections and tests for the station. This is the first sample of such product in the country. According to the state rearmament programme and the activity plans of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, more samples of this station will be deployed and put into operation.

FIRST SERIAL-PRODUCTION NEWEST NON-NUCLEAR-POWERED SUBMARINE "PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY" HAS BEEN ACCEPTED BY THE NAVY
The ceremony of accepting the first diesel-electric submarine "Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky" under project 636.3 by the Russian Navy took place today at the Admiralty Shipyards plant in St. Petersburg. According to the order of Admiral Nikolay EVMENOV, the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, the submarine was accepted by the Russian Navy, and it will become a part of the formation of the Pacific Fleet submarines. The Andreevsky flag was solemnly raised on the submarine.

SIGNAL COMMUNICATIONS TROOPS OF THE CENTRAL MILITARY DISTRICT HAVE RECEIVED THE ADVANCED PROTECTED COMMAND POST P-230T FOR THE FIRST TIME
The communications specialists of the Central Military District (CMD) have received their first set of the P-230T armored complex hardware communications system. The transfer of this piece of weaponry by the manufacturer took place today at the base of a separate communications formation of the CMD located in the Sverdlovsk Region.
P-230T is designed to provide the command post of the district forces commander with all modern communication services and means. Moreover, the main technical features of this complex are its mobility and security.

RESULTS OF FORUM “ARMY-2019”
The main exhibition occupied an area of 257.6 thousand square meters, 361 weapons were presented by the Russian Ministry of Defence. Over 1295 companies participated as exhibitors representing 27,239 exhibits.
10 national expositions of defense industry enterprises of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, Turkey, Thailand and South Africa were presented.
The expositions were also presented by 101 defense enterprises from 14 foreign countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Latvia, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, France, South Africa).

Russian Defence Minister opens ARMY 2019 International Military and Technical Forum
The 5th ARMY 2019 International Military and Technical Forum (IMTF) has kicked off today in Moscow region.
Russian Defence Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu officially opened the ARMY 2019 IMTF.
Addressing its participants and guests, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu paid special attention to the fact that “despite the sanctions that were imposed to slow down scientific and technical progress in Russia, the defence industry enterprises not only withstand but also have development progress".
