MORE THAN 130 FOREIGN DELEGATIONS WILL BE INVITED TO THE INTERNATIONAL MILITARY-TECHNICAL FORUM «ARMY-2020» TO BE HELD IN THE MOSCOW REGION
Today at the National Centre for State Defence Control, the meeting of the Organization Committee for the preparation and holding of the Sixth International Technical Forum "ARMY-2020" was held under the leadership of Sergei SHOIGU, the Head of the Military Department, the General of the Army. Pavel POPOV, the Deputy Head of the Military Department, the General of the Army, made the report at this meeting.
He told that more than 2.5 thousand enterprises and organizations had already been invited to participate in the Forum. The exhibition exposition will be presented in the exhibition halls and at the outdoor area of the Patriot Congress and Exhibition Centre, at the Alabino Military Training grounds and the Kubinka Airfield with a total area of over 320 thousand square meters.
Pavel POPOV also said that the work was conducted on inviting more than 130 official foreign delegations and industrial enterprises. Participation of aerobatic teams of foreign states is also under discussion.
The "ARMY-2020" Forum will differ from the previous forums in its larger-scale presentation of achievements of artificial intelligence technologies, the exhibition dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the projects of the military technopolis "Era", and fan zones for the International Army Games, which will be held at the same time.
In addition, the works on the anthem of the Forum and its official symbol are already being carried out, and the development of transport accessibility of the Patriot Park will continue.
According to the Deputy Minister of Defence, the total attendance of the Forum is predicted to be at a level of 1.5 million people.
Pavel POPOV specified that the joint opening ceremony of the Forum and the Army Games was planned to be held on August 23 at the Patriot Congress and Exhibition Centre, that the specialists would be able to work at the Forum on August 24-26, and that the Forum would be opened for everyone interested on August 27-29.
