SIGNAL COMMUNICATIONS TROOPS OF THE CENTRAL MILITARY DISTRICT HAVE RECEIVED THE ADVANCED PROTECTED COMMAND POST P-230T FOR THE FIRST TIME

The communications specialists of the Central Military District (CMD) have received their first set of the P-230T armored complex hardware communications system. The transfer of this piece of weaponry by the manufacturer took place today at the base of a separate communications formation of the CMD located in the Sverdlovsk Region.

P-230T is designed to provide the command post of the district forces commander with all modern communication services and means. Moreover, the main technical features of this complex are its mobility and security.

The latest technical means of this complex allow to provide the command personnel with secure and open telephone communication means, organize video conference communication and electronic correspondence while being in motion. This complex can also be connected to mobile subscriber terminals.

First of all, the P-230T complex is considered to be a vehicle of the forward command post, which implies the protection of the complex and its crew from small arms and armament fragments.

The construction of the modern P-230T communication vehicle is based on the Tigr armored vehicle, and this complex has higher operational performance characteristics in terms of provided communication services, its mobility and observability in comparison with the previous communication complex of the forward command post R-439 MD2, which was based on the BTR-80 armored personnel carrier.
