At the site of the "ARMY-2020" International Military-Technical Forum, a new thermal imaging device for epidemiological control ISMTB - ZS - 315 will be demonstrated. The main advantage of this device is the ability of non-contact detection of people with elevated body temperature. In modern conditions, this device is of high importance, as it allows to recognize sick people in crowded places.

Last year, the “ARMY-2019” Forum once again set records on its scale and attendance – more than one million people attended the event during six days in June, they examined an exposition with an area of more than 250 thousand m² with hundreds of the exhibits of military equipment and thousands of smaller exhibits. For the first time, the S-350 Vityaz and Pantsir-SM anti-aircraft systems, the airborne self-propelled artillery systems 2S42 Lotos and 2S41 Drok were presented to the public. A unique opportunity was provided to take a close look at widely known examples of Russian military equipment, such as armored vehicles of the Armata, Boomerang and Kurganets families. In addition to the representatives of the Russian military industrial complex, the forum was attended by industry companies from 14 countries: in addition to neighboring countries, it is worth noting India, Iran, France, Pakistan and China.

The main platform of the “ARMY-2020” Forum was demonstrated to the foreign military 'attaches - in the summer, in the Patriot park of the Moscow Region, the strength and power of Russian weapons will be shown to all visitors. So far, the guests have been told about the tasks the Russian Armed Forces can solve using the experience in Syria as an example. The attaches expressed the greatest interest in the exhibition devoted to the operations of Russian deminers in Syria. This exhibition clearly shows what tricks the terrorists used when planting explosive devices: bombs were masked like stones, flower beds and even children's toys.

This event will bring together the representatives of governmental bodies, defence industry enterprises, leading research organizations and universities of the Russian Federation. Diversification of the Russian defence industry will be discussed at the “ARMY-2020” Forum. This was announced by Major General Andrey GONCHAROV, the Head of the Chief Directorate of Scientific Studies of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.

The ICE representatives talked to foreign military attaches in the course of preparations for the “ARMY-2020” Forum. On March 12, 2020, the briefing session was held for foreign military attaches accredited in Russia at the Patriot ExpoCentre. Among the attaches, there were representatives of the military departments of the states traditionally participating in the Forum, as well as those who had not previously participated in the Army Forum. In particular, this briefing was attended by a number of military attaches of the states from the North Atlantic Alliance.

The joint delegation of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation and ICE visiting Brazil continued negotiations on the preparing the Brazilian national exhibition for participation in the “ARMY-2020” International Military-Technical Forum. On March 5, in the city of São Paulo, negotiations were held between the Russian delegation consisting of the representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defence, ICE, the Russian Trade Representation Office in São Paulo and the Rostec State Corporation with representatives of the Brazilian Ministry of Defence and ABIMDE managers. Armando Lemos, acting as the Executive, Financial and Technical Director of the Brazilian Association of Defence Industry Enterprises (ABIMDE), as well as Paulo Albuquerque, Director on International Projects, being in charge of participation of Brazilian companies being part of ABIMDE in international exhibitions, participated in the negotiations.

On March 5, at the House of the Government of the Russian Federation, the meeting under the leadership of M.V. OSYKO, a member of the Military-Industrial Commission Board of the Russian Federation, was held as part of the preparation process for the Congress “Diversification of the Military Industrial Complex in the Interests of National Projects. Transformation of the Production Base”. A.V. EDRENKIN, Director of International Congresses and Exhibitions LTD., made a speech at this meeting. He presented to the audience the draft plan of the Congress and spoke about the advantages of holding this Congress within the frameworks of the “ARMY-2020” Forum. A joint delegation of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation and ICE Ltd. visited Brazil in March with a view to present the International Military-Technical Forum ARMY-2020 to representatives of the Brazilian Defence Ministry, the country’s defence association ABIMDE and its member companies.

A joint delegation of representatives of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation and ICE Ltd. visited DEFEXPO India 2020 – a large comprehensive international defence exhibition held in Lucknow, India – with a view to invite Indian defence companies to take part in the International Military and Technical Forum ARMY-2020.

A new police armored vehicle is being developed in Russia, - Aleksandr KRASOVITSKY, Director General of the Military Industrial Company (MIC LLC), told the Russian state news agency RIA Novosti. The design will take into account the experience of developing and testing the Atlet armored vehicles. The first demonstration of this vehicle should take place in August at the "ARMY-2020" Forum.

The upgraded T-90M Proryv tank, developed by UralVagonZavod (UVZ), might be displayed to the public during the Army 2020 forum, UVZ CEO Alexander Potapov said. «I think we will see them [T-90M] soon. This year, we have 75th anniversary of the Victory [over Nazism during the Great Patriotic War], the 100th anniversary of tank building industry, and the Army forum,» Potapov said.

The innovative potential of the brainpower and the procedure for its use in the interests of the Russian defence capability were discussed today by the representatives of the Russian Defence Ministry and cooperating organizations. The round table meeting opens a series of events of the scientific and business programme of the "ARMY" International Military-Technical Forum, which will be held at the Patriot ExpoCentre grounds on August 23-29, 2020.

Today is our final meeting in the framework of the December meetings with Chief Executives of the Ministry of Defence and other departments, as well as enterprises of the military industrial complex. In the course of our work, the key development directions of the Navy were discussed. With the leaders of defence industrial organizations, we discussed the issues concerning implementation of state defence orders, primarily in the areas of construction, modernization, repair and maintenance of weapons and equipment of the Navy. The special attention was paid to the execution of the orders that were given at the meetings in May of this year, including the order on enhancing the configuration and capabilities of the military and dual-purpose spacecraft constellation.

On December 18, 2019, the 19th solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the annual National Award "Golden Idea" was held at the Patriot ExpoCentre. The winners of 2018 were selected by the Organization Committee, which included representatives of the Military Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation, the Roscosmos State Corporation, the Rostec State Corporation, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Association "League to support Defence Industry Enterprises", Rosoboronexport JSC, Insurance Company "Independent Insurance Group" LLC.

The 6th International Military-Technical Forum "ARMY-2020" will be held on August 23–29, 2020 at the Patriot ExpoCentre. This was announced on November 13, 2019 by Sergei SHOIGU, the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, the General of the Army, at the meeting of the Organization Committee for the preparation and holding of the Forum. The "ARMY-2020" Forum organizational structure will experience some changes that will enable its participants and guests to have more possibilities to study its exhibition, hold more meetings and negotiations, and increase the effectiveness of their participation in the Forum programme.

Negotiations between representatives of ICE Ltd. and International Cooperation Department in Undersecretariat for Defence Industries under President of Republic of Turkey (SSB) has been held in Ankara (Turkey). The Undersecretariat is responsible for organization of work of Turkey Defence Industry Complex and formulation of its development strategy. One of the Department functions is organizing collective participation of Turkey corporations in international exhibitions.

The IIth International Exhibition BIDEC 2019 ended on October 30. One of the key weapon exhibitions in the Persian Gulf gathered more than 200 companies from 32 countries in its halls. The Forum “ARMY-2020” was presented as a separate exhibition stand. ICE Ltd. delegation held negotiations with a range of companies and organizations from Bulgaria, Turkey, Brasilia, India, Republic of South Africa, Kuwait who are interested in participation in the Forum work.

One of the biggest exhibitions of aerospace and defence industry — Seoul ADEX 2019 has been held in the capital of South Korea on October 15–20, 2019. More than 500 companies from 30 countries of the world took part in the exhibition. It has become another proof of the rapid development of enterprises of the South Korean defence industry. Expansion of cooperation with South Korean companies and associations became the main topic of negotiations carried out by the delegation of the Main Directorate of Scientific Studies and Engineering Support of Advanced Technologies (Innovative Research) of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation headed by Major General Andrey M. GONCHAROV. Employees of ICE Ltd. also took part in the negotiations. In the course of these meetings the International Forum “ARMY” was presented to the South Korean party.
