CYCLE OF SCIENTIFIC AND BUSINESS EVENTS WAS LAUNCHED AT THE PATRIOT EXPOCENTRE

The innovative potential of the brainpower and the procedure for its use in the interests of the Russian defence capability were discussed today by the representatives of the Russian Defence Ministry and cooperating organizations.

The round table meeting opens a series of events of the scientific and business programme of the "ARMY" International Military-Technical Forum, which will be held at the Patriot ExpoCentre grounds on August 23-29, 2020.

The discussion was led by the Major General Andrey GONCHAROV, the Head of the Chief Directorate of Scientific Studies and Engineering Support of Advanced Technologies (Innovative Research) of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.

"Various forms and methods of carrying out the scientific and business programme allow us to strengthen the interaction and cooperation of the Russian Defence Ministry not only with leading research organizations, universities, enterprises and industrial organizations, but also make interagency cooperation in the issues on innovative development of the defence industry more effective", said Major General Andrey GONCHAROV.


At the same time, Major General Andrey GONCHAROV noted that the scientific and business programme of the forum is aimed at creating conditions for selecting and implementing innovative projects in the interests of the Russian Armed Forces, as well as discussing problematic issues that hinder the optimization of this process.

During this meeting, the participants made 8 reports on the current issues concerning formation of a personnel reserve for developers of dual-purpose products, as well as the tasks of implementing their projects in practice.

Based on the results of the round table meeting discussion, the work on the use of innovative potential in the interests of the state defence capability will continue.
