MEETING ON ORGANISING THE CONGRESS "DIVERSIFICATION OF THE MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX IN THE INTERESTS OF NATIONAL PROJECTS. TRANSFORMATION OF THE PRODUCTION BASE" WAS HELD AT THE HOUSE OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

On March 5, at the House of the Government of the Russian Federation, the meeting under the leadership of M.V. OSYKO, a member of the Military-Industrial Commission Board of the Russian Federation, was held as part of the preparation process for the Congress “Diversification of the Military Industrial Complex in the Interests of National Projects. Transformation of the Production Base”.

A.V. EDRENKIN, Director of International Congresses and Exhibitions LTD., made a speech at this meeting. He presented to the audience the draft plan of the Congress and spoke about the advantages of holding this Congress within the frameworks of the “ARMY-2020” Forum.

The invited guests highly rated the presented project and expressed deep interest in participating in this upcoming event.

The Congress “Diversification of the Military Industrial Complex in the Interests of National Projects. Transformation of the Production Base” will be organized under the supervision of the Military-Industrial Commission Board of the Russian Federation. The purpose of the Congress is to develop state support measures for Russian manufacturers in the course of the implementation of the orders of the President of the Russian Federation aimed at diversification of the enterprises of the Russian Military Industrial Complex and their involvement in the implementation of national projects.

Holding the Congress at the site of the “ARMY-2020” Forum, which unites all defence industry enterprises, will help to minimize organizational and financial costs on the part of Congress participants. A large-scale exhibition will be organized at the Forum, which will make it possible to demonstrate the potential capabilities of using defence industry capacities in the interests of the civilian sector.

Within the frameworks of the Forum, it is planned to get an intermediate result on the implementation of measures aimed at integrating the defence industry into national projects.

The Congress will be held on August 24-28 at the Patriot ExpoCentre and will become one of the main events of the business programme of the “ARMY-2020” Forum. The Congress will be attended by the Heads of federal executive bodies responsible for execution of national projects, the Heads of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the Heads of the Russian defence industry organizations, chief designers and chief engineers, as well as the representatives of the expert community. The Congress will host 34 business events, including 5 plenary meetings, 1 panel discussion, 6 conferences, 11 round table meetings and 11 presentation sessions. In total, about 4,500 people are expected to attend the Congress.

The “ARMY-2020” International Military-Technical Forum is a milestone event in the Russian Federation and in the world. It will be held on August 23-29 at the Patriot ExpoCentre, at the Alabino Military Training grounds and at the Kubinka Airfield.
