FROM TANKS TO WATER BATTLES: WHAT TO BE DEMONSTRATED TO THE GUESTS OF THE "ARMY-2020" INTERNATIONAL FORUM

The main platform of the “ARMY-2020” Forum was demonstrated to the foreign military 'attaches - in the summer, in the Patriot park of the Moscow Region, the strength and power of Russian weapons will be shown to all visitors. So far, the guests have been told about the tasks the Russian Armed Forces can solve using the experience in Syria as an example.

The attaches expressed the greatest interest in the exhibition devoted to the operations of Russian deminers in Syria. This exhibition clearly shows what tricks the terrorists used when planting explosive devices: bombs were masked like stones, flower beds and even children's toys.

According to Bant Cisse, the military attache of the Embassy of the Republic of Mali, his country is greatly interested in participating in the forum. Almost all weapons and military equipment used in the African state were produced in Russia and the Soviet Union.

“I have seen many forums, but I haven’t seen one like that held in Russia. We need modern materials that can be used against terrorists”, he says.

The most spectacular part of the International Military-Technical Forum will traditionally be dynamic shows - training battles on water, in the air and on the ground.

The number of exhibits and guests of the forum is constantly increasing. Last year, the forum was visited by more than one million people. This time, the military specialists and ordinary spectators will see promising pieces of weaponry in the exhibition halls and at the open areas of the Patriot Park: from tanks to modern means of fighting drones.

“We are getting ready to show the T-14 tank and the T-15 tank support vehicle on the Armata platform, the Kurganets new-generation tracked infantry fighting vehicle, the wheeled armored vehicles on the Boomerang platform”, says Boris SIMAKIN, the Head of the Analysis and Prospective Planning Department of Rosoboronexport JSC.

This year, the Army forum will last one day longer; it will be held simultaneously with the International Army Games at the end of August. The guests of the military exhibition will be able to attend the most spectacular contest - Tank Biathlon.
