South Korean companies show interests to the Forum “ARMY”

One of the biggest exhibitions of aerospace and defence industry — Seoul ADEX 2019 has been held in the capital of South Korea on October 15–20, 2019. More than 500 companies from 30 countries of the world took part in the exhibition. It has become another proof of the rapid development of enterprises of the South Korean defence industry. Expansion of cooperation with South Korean companies and associations became the main topic of negotiations carried out by the delegation of the Main Directorate of Scientific Studies and Engineering Support of Advanced Technologies (Innovative Research) of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation headed by Major General Andrey M. GONCHAROV. Employees of ICE Ltd. also took part in the negotiations. In the course of these meetings the International Forum “ARMY” was presented to the South Korean party.
Participants of Korea Defence Industry Association (KDIA) and Korean Aerospace Industries Association (KAIA) took special interest in presentation of the International Forum “ARMY”. Representatives of the associations expressed their intent to discuss among their members the possibility of participation in the Forum within the framework of collective national expositions. The meeting with the Head of the Center for International Cooperation of the Defence Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) Sun Il was the most interesting. Head of the Center expressed a wish to visit the Forum “ARMY-2020” within the official delegation of the Administration and work at the issue of participation of the South Korean Black Eagles aerobatic display team in the demonstration program of the Forum. The Team had a successful performance in the course of exhibition in Seoul and it would be fascinating to see them in the sky above Kubinka Airfield.
In the course of the exhibition the employees of ICE held a number of meetings with representatives of such South Korean business giants as HANWHA, POONGSAN, LIG Nex1, as well as other companies engaged in manufacture of military and dual-use products. Information about the Forum has piqued interest especially among small and middle business representatives. If the major corporations await for reaction of the government to the invitation to the ARMY Forum, other South Korean companies are ready to discuss terms and conditions of cooperation.
