ABOUT THE CEREMONY OF AWARDING THE WINNERS OF THE "GOLDEN IDEA" NATIONAL AWARD

On December 18, 2019, the 19th solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the annual National Award "Golden Idea" was held at the Patriot ExpoCentre.

The winners of 2018 were selected by the Organization Committee, which included representatives of the Military Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation, the Roscosmos State Corporation, the Rostec State Corporation, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Association "League to support Defence Industry Enterprises", Rosoboronexport JSC, Insurance Company "Independent Insurance Group" LLC.

Yu.I.BORISOV, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, greeted the participants of the ceremony. He noted: "The Russian Federation continues to hold the firm second place among the top three leaders of the global and arms business. Undoubtedly, this is the joint merit of all the participants of a complex and complicated process, which includes the stages of development, production and export of our weapons".

The memorable prizes and diplomas of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation were presented to the Award winners by V.I.KOZHIN, the First Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Federation Committee for Defence and Safety, and D.E.SHUGAEV, Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation.

Addressing the participants of the ceremony, D.E.SHUGAEV noted that "the constantly high level of interest in our contest demonstrates that despite some external difficulties the Russian specialists are initiative, creative and ready to find optimal solutions achieving high and even outstanding results in the area of military-technical cooperation".

The Organization Committee, taking into account the results of the preliminary rating grades of experts in the open voting form, awarded 19 prizes and 2 additional honorary diplomas in 6 nominations.

In the nomination "For Contribution to the Promotion of Military-Technical Cooperation, Advertising and Information Support for the Military Products Export Activities", the honorary diploma was awarded to International Congresses and Exhibitions LLC, an exhibition operator of the "Army" International Military-Technical Forum.
