ARMY 2022 International Military and Technical Forum completes its work

"By the end of the sixth day of ARMY 2022 International Military and Technical Forum, according to the registration service, the total attendance exceeded 1,400,000, which is 23% more than last year," Major General Alexander Osadchuk, Head of the Main Directorate for Innovation Development of the Russian Ministry of Defence, told journalists during briefing.

Delegations from the defence ministries of 33 foreign countries were on the Forum sites yesterday. Foreign delegations also took part in the First International Anti-Fascist Congress, which was certainly one of the highlights of the Forum.

The scientific-business programme ended yesterday and its results were summed up.

The Forum hosted 340 events, one and a half times as many as last year. A total of 187 roundtables, 52 conferences, 32 inter-agency meetings and 69 briefings were held over the six days.

In order to expand the geographical reach of the Forum's scientific-business programme, videoconferencing was organised with 16 Russian cities.

Nearly 22,000 people took part in the business programme.

The centre of business discussions in 2022 is the site of the Military Innovation Technopolis ERA.

"The organizing committee of this year's ARMY 2022 International Military and Technical Forum awarded the grand prize to the Almaz-Antey Aerospace Defence Concern," General Osadchuk told journalists.

He also briefed the media on the events that will take place today, the final day of the Forum.

"All venues of the forum today will work in the interests of the mass visitor," he said. - "The Swifts and The Russian Knights aerobatics groups will perform for our guests, and Su-30, Yak-130, MiG-29, Mi-28N, Extra and First Flight aerobatics groups will perform solo aerobatics."

As part of the cultural and artistic programme, forum participants and guests will be able to visit such unique sites as the Main Cathedral of the Russian Armed Forces, the Memory Road multimedia historical and memorial complex, the Field of Victory open-air museum, and an exhibition of captured weapons and equipment captured during a special military operation in Ukraine.

At the end of his speech, Major General Alexander Osadchuk invited everyone to a gala concert by the participants of the International Competition, which will take place today on the main stage of the Forum at the Patriot Congress and Exhibition Centre.
