Russia and Venezuela to develop cooperation in military education

Colonel General Alexander Fomin, Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, held talks with Colonel General Ricardo Nicodemo Ramos, Deputy Minister of Defence for Military Education of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, during the ARMY 2022 International Military and Technical Forum (IMTF).

"At this difficult time, we appreciate the truly allied relationship between our countries. Cooperation from which we stand together on major key issues of global dynamics," Alexander Fomin said.

He also thanked the Venezuelan delegation for their participation in the Forum and the International Army Games and noted that the International Military Technical Forum is a great opportunity to get acquainted with weapons and military equipment.

In turn, Ricardo Nicodemo Ramos thanked the Russian side for the invitation. "Our relations with the Russian Federation are becoming stronger. We appreciate the opportunity to be here and strengthen our relations not only in the military-technical but also in the educational aspects," said the Venezuelan representative.

During the meeting, topical issues of Russian-Venezuelan military cooperation were discussed, including education, and further steps for their development were outlined. The talks were held in a friendly atmosphere and confirmed the mutual intention to further enhance multifaceted cooperation between the defence departments.
