'Patriot' park in Stavropol will host the Army-2022 military-technical forum with a demonstration of equipment of the Southern Military District

The Patriot military and patriotic park and the 'Russia - My History' museum complex in Stavropol will host a display of weapons and military equipment of the Southern Military District as part of the Army-2022 military and technical forum events.

The Army-2022 military and technical forum of the Southern Military District will be held from 19 to 21 August in the 'Patriot' park in Stavropol. The forum will be open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Visitors of the forum will be able to see modern and historical armaments, military and special equipment, equipment and ammunition of different arms and troops.

Such weapons and military equipment as Mi-8 helicopter, BTR-82AM armoured personnel carrier, self-propelled gun 'Nona', Msta-B towed howitzer, 'Iskander' operational-tactical missile system, as well as T-55, T-62, T-64PB, T-72M, T-80B tanks, 'Tunguska' surface-to-air missile gun system, 'Shilka' self-propelled air defense gun mount and others will be displayed. A total of 26 pieces of equipment.

There will be catering outlets, souvenir shops and refreshments in the recreation area. The military chefs of the 49th Army of the Southern Military District will treat visitors to the forum with soldiers' porridge.

A festive atmosphere and good humour will be maintained by creative groups from the Stavropol Territory.

A mobile recruitment centre will be set up in 'Patriot' Park for those wishing to find out about the conditions of enrolment for military service under the contract.

In total, the forum will take place at 16 sites of the 'Patriot' military-patriotic parks of nine subjects of the Russian Federation on the territory of the Southern Military District and Russian military bases in Armenia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

About 250 specimens, including five aircraft and 27 ships and boats, are scheduled to be on display at the static display areas for weapons and military equipment.
