The international military-technical forum "Army-2020" broke the records of previous years

"For the sixth year in a row, the exhibition continues to break its own records on key indicators. There are about ten such achievements. According to him, the forum was attended by representatives of 92 foreign countries who sent their official military delegations, of which 18 were high — level. The total number of representatives of foreign military departments was 320 people.

National exhibitions were presented by six foreign countries (Belarus, Brazil, India, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and South Ossetia).

Yesterday, the events of the scientific and business program were completed and its brief results were summed up.

Major General Andrey Goncharov gave a number of basic figures. More than 11 thousand representatives of the professional community took part in 186 events — round tables, conferences, briefings and meetings.

Military personnel of 17 scientific companies of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation presented more than 60 exhibits at the forum.

More than 40 state contracts were signed with 27 enterprises of the military-industrial complex for a total amount of more than 1 trillion 160 billion rubles.

More than 300 promising innovative developments and projects have been pre-selected and included in the consolidated register by the concerned military authorities.

Among the participants of the forum, 113 laureates were identified in 13 categories.

Within the framework of the static and dynamic program of the forum, more than 5 thousand samples of military equipment were presented from the Russian Defence Ministry.

1457 enterprises and organizations (including 17 foreign ones) took part, which presented more than 28 thousand samples of military and dual-use products.

The head of the Russian Defence Ministry GUNID also introduced journalists to the main events of the final day of the forum, which is aimed at mass visitors.

As part of the demonstration program, the fire and maneuver capabilities of weapons, military and special equipment of the Airborne troops will be shown to the forum guests at the Alabino training ground and Komsomolskoye lake. If the weather permits, aviation aerobatic groups, groups of aviation clubs will demonstrate their skills in the sky, as well as air professionals on planes and helicopters will perform with single aerobatics.

As in previous days, performances of vocal and instrumental ensembles, as well as various art groups will take place at the venues of the "Patriot" convention and exhibition center and the Alabino ground. The program of cultural and artistic events will end today with a concert dedicated to the closing ceremony of the international military-technical forum "Army-2020".

"Summarizing the results of the forum, I can say that its main goals have been achieved. The status of foreign participants and guests of the forum and the results of meetings with them indicate the strengthening of military-technical cooperation between the Russian Federation and foreign countries," Major General Andrey Goncharov said.

"It is particularly gratifying to note that the implemented system of organizing medical support and anti-epidemic measures made it possible to prevent the import and spread of a new coronavirus infection at the forum's facilities," the head of the Russian Defenсe Ministry GUNID concluded.
