Today, August 28, at a daily briefing for journalists at the joint press centre of the International Army Games-2020, the head of the Main Directorate for Research and Technological Support of Advanced Technologies (Innovative Research) of the Russian Ministry of Defence, Major General Andrey Goncharov, summarized the results of the fifth day of the International military-technical forum (IMTF) "Army-2020".
He said that the ceremony of awarding the forum participants took place yesterday at the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Centre. The solemn event was held at the specialized exhibition of the military innovation technopolis "Era".
The Grand Prix of the forum was awarded to the staff of the JSC "Concern VKO "Almaz-Antey".
The best exhibitors were selected in six nominations.
"For contributions to the organization and conduct of International military-technical forum "ARMY 2020" was awarded the chief of operative group of Land Forces of the People's Liberation Army of China, Major General Zhao Panju.
Also in this category, prizes were awarded to: JSC "Concern Radioelectronic technologies", JSC "Scientific and production Association "High-Precision complexes", JSC "Scientific and production Corporation "Uralvagonzavod", Interregional public institution "Institute of engineering physics", PJSC "United aircraft Corporation" and JSC "Kronshtadt".
In the category "for organizing a national exhibition" at the "ARMY-2020" forum, CJSC "Beltechexport" (Republic of Belarus) and the Ministry of industry and infrastructure development of the Republic of Kazakhstan were awarded.
Major General Andrey Goncharov said that all planned events took place within the framework of the scientific and business program.
Following the results of five days of the forum, 174 events were held, in which 8,328 representatives of the professional community took part.
Round tables, conferences and briefings were held at a high methodological level, with the participation of well-known public figures, military experts, general designers and leading scientists, including 29 representatives of foreign states.

As part of the demonstration program at the Alabino training ground, Lake Komsomolskoye, 39 elements of the dynamic display program will be shown with a demonstration of the firing and maneuverability of weapons, military and special equipment of engineering troops and military vehicles,'' said Major General Andrey Goncharov.
He also spoke about the aviation program, which is of particular interest to journalists and forum guests. “Today, the air shows include flights of the Russian Vityaz (Su-30SM, Su-35S), the Strizhi (Mi-29), the Berkuty aerobatic team (Mi-28N), single aerobatics of the Su-34, Su- 30SM, Yak-152, Yak-130, Ka-52, Mi-28N, Ka-27m helicopters, performance of the First Flight aerobatic team, the Air Force aeroclub (Yak-52 and Piper-KEB, UTI MiG-15), the Ural the civil aviation plant (L-410) demonstration of the capabilities of UAV samples,” said Major General Andrey Goncharov.
