The international military-technical forum "Army-2020" is open to the public

Major General Andrey Goncharov gave a summary of the fourth day of the forum, which was widely attended by representatives of official military delegations from 37 foreign countries.

So, with the participation of foreign specialists from 29 countries, a briefing "Military education — prestige and world recognition" was held yesterday under the leadership of the head of the Main Human Resources Directorate, Colonel-General Viktor Goremykin.

Dynamic displays of aircraft samples and demonstration flights of aerobatic teams were also organized for foreign delegations.

Foreign guests showed particular interest in the exhibitions of "Russian Helicopters", United engine Corporation, "Tactical missile armament" Corporation, "Rosoboronexport" and "Machine-building Technologies" Concern.

A total of 103 foreign experts took part in the fourth day of the forum.

Yesterday, 3,896 representatives of the professional community took part in the events of the scientific and business program-round tables, conferences, meetings, briefings and discussions.

"Since the beginning of the forum, 139 events of the scientific and business program have already been held (round tables-91, conferences-21, meetings-11, briefings (discussions) — 14, signing of contracts — 2), which were attended by 6628 people," said the head of the Russian Defence Ministry's GUNID.

The activities of the dynamic program were completed in full.

A significant event was the demonstration of the combat capabilities of weapons, military and special equipment of air defense with video broadcasts from the Ashuluk range to the Alabino range, followed by a demonstration of the capabilities of the air defense forces to counteract the unmanned aerial vehicles of the mock enemy and their destruction.

"In addition to the fact that the experience gained in Syria was used to repel the attacks of the "enemy", it should be noted that the demonstration of tactical episodes consistently played out at two different ranges located several thousand kilometers from each other is a new and unique practice of the dynamic program of the "Army" forum, "Major General Andrey Goncharov said.

He also said that the forum's program aimed at the mass audience begins today, while specialists and experts will continue their work on studying the presented samples of weapons, military and special equipment at ranges, as well as take part in the events of the scientific and business program.
