The winners of the "Breakthrough into the future" competition were awarded at the "ARMY-2020" forum

On the basis of Congress-exhibition center "Patriot" took place the solemn ceremony of awarding winners of the contest "Breakthrough into the future" ("Best innovation project in interests of Armed Forces of the Russian Federation").

In the first part of the ceremony, held in the demonstration zone of the exhibition of the military innovation Technopolis "ERA", the participants of the competition presented their innovative projects to the forum guests.

As noted by the chairman of the competition commission, Deputy Head of the Main Department of research and technological support of advanced technologies (innovative research) of Russian Defence Ministry Major General Andrey Prikhodko : "every year the competition "Breakthrough into the future" attracts more and more interest and attention in scientific circles, among representatives of higher educational institutions, research organizations and research companies of the Russian Defence Ministry. At the same time, almost every third author's team includes one or more operators of scientific companies of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Of course, such attention to the competition from the younger generation of military scientists cannot but rejoice."

The winner of the "Breakthrough into the future" competition in 2020 was the team of authors of the Military training and research center of the Air force "Zhukovsky Air Force Academy", who presented an infrared system for automatic landing of unmanned aerial vehicles", developed to solve the current scientific and technical problem-autonomous landing of unmanned aerial vehicles of various types on poorly equipped landing sites in conditions of suppression of control channels and satellite radio navigation, including at night and in difficult weather conditions.

Second place went to the representative of the 3 Central research Institute of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation project "advanced multifunctional fuze with electronic unit, the filled polymer composition with the addition of carbon nanotubes to achieve the required reliability when hitting solid obstacles." The result of the work was a practical solution to the problem of developing an intelligent fuse and a method for improving its reliability when breaking through strong barriers, based on the use of polymer composite filling of the electronic block with the addition of carbon nanotubes. This method increases the effectiveness of ammunition by 1.2 times, excluding failure of fuses from contact loads.

Third place was awarded to a team of authors of the 25 State research Institute of chemmotology of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation with the scientific and technical project "corrosion-resistant collapsible tubing made of composite materials", whose main purpose is the creation and sustainable functioning of the collapsible pipelines in the logistic system of the Armed Forces and reduction of losses of fuel during transportation through the pipeline by improving the structural reliability of the linear part of a pipeline through a corrosion resistant composite pipes.

The winners of the "Breakthrough into the future" competition were 15 author groups and individual representatives of higher educational institutions, research organizations of the Russian Defence Ministry and research companies of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

At the end of the presentation of the competition works that won prizes, on the main stage of the international military-technical forum "ARMY-2020", the head of the Main Department of research and technological support of advanced technologies (innovative research) of Russian Defence Ministry Major General Andrey Goncharov presented diplomas and commemorative gifts to the winners of the "Breakthrough into the future"competition.
