Military departments of the Russian Federation and Brazil are increasing their cooperation in the defence sphere

Issues of military-technical cooperation were discussed by Russian Deputy Defence Minister Alexander Fomin and Deputy Head of the Brazilian military department Marcos Dego at talks in Moscow on Monday.

"The meeting discussed topical issues of Russian-Brazilian military and military-technical cooperation, as well as outlined steps for their development," the Russian Defence Ministry said in a statement.

According to the Ministry, the talks "confirmed the mutual intention to further increase comprehensive cooperation between the defence departments."

A military delegation from Brazil is taking part in the international military-technical forum "Army-2020".
