Russian Minister of Defence welcomes the Artificial Intelligence Conference
General of the Army Sergei Shoigu welcomed the first-ever Conference on topic “Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Solutions”. In his speech he stressed that military and civil scientists should join efforts in developing artificial intelligence as it can curb possible threats to technological and economical security of the Russian Federation.
The welcoming speech was announced by Yuriy Borisov, the Deputy Defence Minister.
Military and civil scientists are to outline suggestions in order to organize cooperation among scientific community, government and industrial enterprises that above all will be aimed at improving combat potential of the Russian Federation.
“This will lead to favourable conditions for development and extended application of robotics, unmanned systems and new technologies equipped with artificial intelligence”, highlighted the Russian Minister of Defence in his welcoming speech.
