Deputy Defence Minister Yury Borisov checks state defence order implementation at Rybinsk enterprise Saturn
As the Deputy Defence Minister of Russia Yury Borisov told journalists at the Rybinsk enterprise Saturn, state defence order obligations were fully implemented in 2017.
The Scientific-and-Production Association Saturn is an engine-building company, which specialises in developing, producing, selling and maintaining gas turbine engines for civil and military aviation, power generating and gas pumping plants at ships and vessels. The enterprise is a part of the United Engine Corporation.
From 2014 to 2017, the enterprise's facilities were used for experimental design works on three power plants for the Navy: M90FR (27,500 HP), Aggregat-DKVP (10,000 HP) and M70FRU-R. These engines ensure Russia's independence from imports from Ukraine.
