Formation of the Western military district received Tornado-G MLRS

Combined-arms formation of the Western military district has received two battalions of Tornado-G multiple launch rocket systems.

The 122mm Tornado-G MLRS are to replace the Grad systems. The servicemen will conduct firing in the first quarter of 2017 in course of field training.

The Tornado-G exceeds combat effectiveness of the Grad systems in 2.5-3 times. It is designed to conduct strikes on manpower, armored vehicles, artillery and mortar batteries as well as command centres of the enemy.
