Russian Defence Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu took part in the session of the DOSAAF Supervisory Council

Today the Russian Defence Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu has taken part in the session of the DOSAAF Supervisory Council.

Giving speech at the session, the Head of the Military department noted that the DOSAAF (Volunteer Society for Cooperation with the Army, Aviation, and Fleet) had filled the assigned state order and prepared over 36 thousand specialists for the Defence Ministry as well as over 500 thousand ones for the national economic sphere.

The Minister of Defence also considered the joint experiment of the DOSAAF and the Russian Airborne Troops on pre-conscription basic military training to be a success.

He also mentioned that the team of the Russian DOSAAF would take part in the International Army Games that year. According to him, there is a positive trend in the field of development of physical education and sports.
