Eastern MD to receive 700 pieces of armament, military and special hardware, and newest technical equipment

In course of the Eastern MD Military Council session Commander of the district Colonel General Sergei Surovikin stated that formations and military units of the Eastern MD were to receive more than 100 pieces of missile and artillery armament until the end of 2016.

“This year, troops of the district are to receive about 700 pieces of armament, military and special hardware, and newest technical equipment. Formations and military units are to receive more than 100 pieces of missile and artillery armament, about 60 aircraft, three ships, more than 20 UAVs, about 50 air defence missile complexes, and about 20 coastal defence systems”, said Sergei Surovikin.

Modern samples of armament and equipment will be introduced in engineer troops, communication troops, EW troops, NBC protection troops, supply and support formations, and medical units.
