Motorized rifle units of the Southern Military District (SMD) will demonstrate their actions in modern combat at the ARMY 2021 Forum of the Southern Military District, which will be held on the territory of the Sambek Heights National Military-Historical Museum Complex of the Great Patriotic War in the Rostov Region from August 27 to August 29, 2021.
T-72B3 tanks, BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles and BTR-82A armored personnel carriers will be simultaneously deployed on the tactical field.
On the sites of the static exposition, about 100 samples of modern weapons and military equipment will be presented, including T-72B3, T-90 tanks, BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles, BTR-82A armored personnel carriers, S-400 Triumph air defence systems, Pantsir -S, Tor-M2, Buk-M3, multiple rocket launchers Tornado of various calibers, self-propelled artillery, armored vehicles, communications troops, electronic warfare, engineering troops, radiation, chemical and biological protection, the latest complexes with unmanned aerial vehicles, helicopters of the army aviation of the Air Force and Air Defence Army of the Southern Military District and other equipment.
In total, on the territory of the Southern Military District, ARMY 2021 Military-Technical Forum will be held at 26 sites in 14 constituent entities of the Russian Federation and at Russian military bases in Abkhazia, Armenia and South Ossetia.
