The 7th international military-technical forum "Army" will be held in August 2021. This was stated today at a meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation for the international military-technical forum "Army-2021" by the Deputy Defence Minister General of the Army Pavel Popov.

"The 7th international military-technical forum "Army" will be held in August next year, " he said.

"During its preparation, it is important to take into account all the best practices of the last forum, which brought together about one and a half thousand enterprises and organizations," the Deputy Minister set the task.

He recalled that at the "Army-2020" forum in the "Patriot" convention and exhibition center, more than 28,000 samples of military and dual-use products were presented.

"I am pleased to note that representatives of 92 countries, including 18 high-level delegations, have come to us in a difficult situation," Pavel Popov said.

Six countries have prepared national expositions (Belarus, Brazil, India, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, South Ossetia).

During the forum, 186 scientific and business events were held, where issues of state policy and interdepartmental cooperation in the field of state defence, as well as promising areas for the development of the military-technical sphere were discussed.

"A significant event was the signing of the 41 state contract for a total amount of over a trillion rubles," the Deputy Minister said.

According to him, the latest military equipment was successfully displayed in the land, water and aviation clusters - at the Alabino training ground, lake Komsomolsky, Kubinka airfield, as well as in all military districts and the Northern Fleet.

In addition, the delegations of foreign states were shown a system of layered defence of objects using air defence systems and anti-drone systems.

"The forum was attended by more than a million people," Pavel Popov said. – The "Army-2021" forum should be held at the same quality level.
