At the ARMY 2020 military-technical forum in Cherkessk, they will demonstrate the capabilities of pack-transport horses and mine detection dogs of the Southern Military District
Guests of the ARMY 2020 forum in Karachay-Cherkessia will be shown the capabilities of a bundle of unique pack-transport horses of the logistics unit of the mountain brigade of the Southern Military District for transporting mortars and ammunition for them.
During the demonstration of the capabilities of mountain motorized riflemen of the Southern Military District, it is also planned to descend a reconnaissance group from a cliff using special mountain-climbing equipment, capture and destroy an object of a conditional enemy by a sabotage and reconnaissance group, overcome a water obstacle using mountain climbing equipment, as well as conduct engineering reconnaissance with involving specially trained mine detection dogs.
The forum will be held in Cherkessk from 27 to 29 August in the "Green Island" Park of Culture and Leisure. The guests will also be presented with weapons and military equipment of the 49th combined-arms army of the Southern Military District.
The International Military Technical Forum Army 2020 in the Southern Military District will be held from August 27 to 29 on the territory of the branches of the Patriot military-patriotic park in 14 subjects of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts, as well as at the Russian military base in Armenia.
The main objectives of the forum are to promote the technical re-equipment of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, strengthen cooperation between the SMD and industrial enterprises and federal executive authorities, increase the prestige of military service and patriotic education of young people.
