Accreditation for the International Military and Technical Forum "ARMY-2020" and Army International Games - 2020 is opened on the website of the Russian Ministry of Defence

The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation holds accreditation of representatives of Russian and foreign media to the International Military Technical Forum "ARMY-2020" and the Army International Games - 2020 from July 16 to August 14.

For accreditation, media representatives need to fill out a special form on the website of the Russian Ministry of Defence in the Games and Forum sections.

On August 23, the opening of the Army International Games will be held simultaneously with the Forum on the territory of the "Patriot" congress and exhibition center, and one of the most spectacular field training competitions, "Tank Biathlon", will be launched at the Alabino training ground.

The forum will be held from August 23 to 29. Starting this year, the Ashuluk training ground in the Astrakhan region will be added to the traditional Forum venues ("Patriot" congress and exhibition center, Alabino training ground, Kubinka airfield, exhibitions in military districts and the Northern Fleet), on the territory of which it is planned to demonstrate elements of a unique system to counter unmanned aerial vehicles.

The scientific and business program includes more than 170 events, during which it is planned to discuss topical issues of ensuring the state's defense capabilities, developing the production and scientific and technical potential of the military-industrial complex, as well as prospects for the development of international military and military-technical cooperation.

One of the key events of the Forum will be the congress "Diversification of the defense industry in the interests of national projects." Traditionally, the IMTF "ARMY-2020" will host a conference on artificial intelligence, a meeting of the interdepartmental commission, which includes representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defence and the state corporation "Rosatom", as well as events of regional branches of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

At the grounds of the Forum the exhibitions of the "ERA" military innovative technopolis, participants in the "Start to Science" festival of innovative scientific ideas, as well as the exhibition "Military Education - Prestige and Innovation" will be organized at the event.

More than a thousand of domestic and foreign companies are planning to take part in the Forum, ready to demonstrate more than 25 thousand types of weapons, military and special equipment.

Enterprises of the Russian defence industry will present the latest developments not only at the static exposition sites, but also as part of the Forum's demonstration program. For this purpose, the Russian Ministry of Defence will present about 700 units of modern weapons and military equipment. Dynamic displays of modern and promising weapons will be conducted for Russian and foreign military specialists.

In addition, guests and participants of the Forum will be presented the exposition "Tank Industry Alley", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of domestic tank building. For the first time, a line of 22 tanks and armored vehicles were deployed on an open area in the "Patriot" congress and exhibition centre.

The heads of defence departments and official representatives of foreign countries are invited to participate in the events of the "ARMY-2020" IMTF.

The army international games will be held from August 23 to September 5.

30 international competitions are planned to be held within the framework of Army Games 2020.

The Alabino training ground will host competitions of teams participating in the "Tank biathlon" competition, military police "Guardian of order", rescue units "Emergency area" in Sergiev Posad and military dog handlers "True Friend" in Dmitrov, as well as master classes of military cooks in the Moscow region.

Army Games-2020 competitions will be held in 8 countries (Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Iran, Kazakhstan, Sri-Lanka and Uzbekistan). They will be attended by more than 200 teams, which included about 5 thousand military personnel.

In addition, all participants and guests of the IMTF " ARMY-2020" and Army Games-2020 will be able to visit the Main Cathedral of the Armed Forces, the Museum complex "Memory Road" and the open-air Museum "Victory Field".
