Organizers of International Military-Technical Forum "ARMY-2017" visited 13th IDEX International Defense Exhibition and Conference

Organizers of the International Military-Technical Forum "ARMY-2017" visited the 13th IDEX International Defense Exhibition and Conference held in late February (from 19 to 23 February 2017) in Abu Dhabi.

IDEX is one of the leading world exhibitions convened under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and fully supported by the UAE Armed Forces. It brings together manufacturers and suppliers from 50 countries. Participation of the military industry leaders and top defense authorities renders a status of the most influential regional exhibition to the UAE show. The event never fails to attract close attention of the weapons and military equipment manufacturers and buyers from all over the world. Within the framework of IDEX exhibition, demonstration shows of various weapons are held.

Notably, IDEX 2017 was visited by the Chief Directorate of Research of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation top management delegation headed by the Deputy Defence Minister of the Russian Federation Yuri Borisov.

Negotiations were held with over 100 companies and organizations from 32 countries. 13 national pavilion organizing companies were in their number.

In keeping with the tradition from 2016, the Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO) shared its intent to organize Pakistan national pavilion at the ARMY 2017. Its representatives spoke favorably of their 2016 experience at the Forum.

Another national pavilion organizer, South African Aerospace Maritime & Defence Industries Association, also expressed its interest in participation by commenting:

‘Currently we are looking for new markets which we could enter. ARMY 2017 is a promising opportunity to learn about the Russian market.’ (Michelle Nxumalo, Marketing and Research, AMD Association).

Ministry of Military Production (Egypt), too, was in favor of taking part in the ARMY 2017 Forum as a national pavilion.

In its turn, Global Expo Tech company is prepared to discuss terms of agency in attracting foreign companies and organizations.

Apart from the national pavilion organizers, over 65 foreign companies and organizations inquired about the ARMY 2017 Forum, namely: Military Industries Corporation, Yugoimport SDPR, Streit Group, Korea Aerospace Industries, China North Industries Corporation, Jadara Equipment & Defence Systems, KADDB Investment Group, Ashoka Manufacturing, Unis Group, and others.
