Deputy Defence Minister Anatoly Antonov: Russia-Azerbaijan dialogue on creation of security system in the Caspian Sea will be intensified

Deputy Defence Minister Anatoly Antonov summed up results of negotiations between General of the Army Sergei Shoigu and Colonel General Zakir Hasanov held in course of the visit of the Russian Defence Minister to Baku.

“We are waiting additional positive impulse from intensification of dialogue on creation of security system in the Caspian Sea and results of another session of Intergovernmental Commission on military technical cooperation in Moscow,” said Anatoly Antonov.

He also noted that training of military servicemen for the Azerbaijani Armed Forces is held successfully.

Anatoly Antonov also marked participation of Azerbaijani military servicemen in the International Army Games.

Anatoly Antonov informed journalists that Russian Defence Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu had invited his counterpart Colonel General Zakir Hasanov to participate in the session of the Council of Defence Ministers of the CIS held in Moscow in November, and the International military technical forum ARMY 2016.

Colonel General Zakir Hasanov was also informed about the work of the International Mine Action Centre of the Russian Armed Forces in the territory of Syria, particularly in Palmyra. The Russian party suggested the colleagues from Azerbaijan to participate in this work.
