Uninterrupted power supply of special facilities of the Russian Armed Forces will be discussed at the forum “Army-2016”

The round table "Innovative technologies ensuring continuity and independence of power supply for responsible consumers of special facilities” that will be held as part of the forum “Army -2016” is going to bring together scientists from more than 20 research groups from 17 Russian cities, the chief of staff of the Strategic Missile Forces, lieutenant-general, Ivan Reva, told reporters.
According to him, more than 60 experts from 26 research groups from 17 Russian cities will participate in the round table organized by the Military Academy of the Strategic Missile Forces.
“Scientists from MSTU Bauman, MADI, Voenmech, military academies of the Ministry of Defense, the Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology, the Higher School of Economics as well as research institutes of the military department are going to share their experience and developments,” said Reva.
Reva stated that the adoption of some of the new developments would be discussed at the round table.
"Bench tests of active filters for power quality improvement of domestic production have already been conducted for the Strategic Missile Forces. Also, there is another development of great interest: a diesel-electric set on the base of M656 diesel engine with a microprocessor control unit designed for use as a backup or emergency power supply”, noted the chief of staff of the Strategic Missile Forces.
