Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation will hold an International military-technical forum "ARMY 2015" in June, 2015

Today in Moscow was held the meeting of the organizing Committee of military-technical forum "Army-2015", which is in accordance with the instruction of the Russian Government planned to be held from 16 to 19 June of the following year.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister of defense General of the army Sergei Shoigu said that this forum will become the largest platform of the Ministry of defense of Russian Federation to show promising samples of products and technologies for military and dual-use".

"Along with the defense Ministry in the preparation and conduction of the forum takes part a number of Federal bodies of executive power, the government of Moscow region and the state corporation Rostec, - said the General of the army Sergei Shoigu.

The defense Minister drew attention to the special significance of the event, as it will be held in the year of commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the great Patriotic war. "In this regard, it is necessary to take a responsible approach to solving the challenges we face," said the Minister of defense of Russia.

The event will be on the basis of the Convention and exhibition center of Military-Patriotic Park "Patriot", which will be in Kubinka near Moscow.

During the meeting an agreement on joint development and use of exhibition complex in Kubinka for displaying samples of armament, military and special equipment was signed. The document was signed by Minister of defense General of the army Sergei Shoigu, Minister of industry and trade Denis Manturov, the General Director of state corporation Rostec Sergey Chemezov and Moscow region Governor Andrei Vorobyov.

"Today we are signing an agreement on joint establishment of the center and further use of its infrastructure. We believe this is an important practical step towards the consolidation of efforts on preparation for the forum," said the defense Minister during the signing ceremony.

In turn, Deputy defense Minister Colonel General Pavel Popov said that the forum will be conducted using the existing infrastructure of the military department (tankodromes, polygons, airfields). Within the frameworks of the forum will be organized exposition, demonstration and scientific and business program. The forum will be organized in thematic sections, reflecting the structure of the Armed Forces.

Deputy defense Minister also informed that in preparation for the forum the interdepartmental working group developed a draft plan of events forthcoming to implementation.

According to the plans of the Ministry of defense of Russian Federation forum will create necessary conditions to search for promising technical and technological solutions and their subsequent implementation in the generated samples of weapons and military equipment.
