Russian delegation visits defexpo india 2020

A joint delegation of representatives of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation and ICE Ltd. visited DEFEXPO India 2020 – a large comprehensive international defence exhibition held in Lucknow, India – with a view to invite Indian defence companies to take part in the International Military and Technical Forum ARMY-2020.
A number of Indian companies working within the defence sector showed interest in continuing to build a strong and profound relationship with the Russian defence industry. For instance, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) underlined its resolve to continue working with the Russian Federation on constructing a fifth-generation fighter aircraft. Previously this project was suspended, but according to Denis Manturov - Russian Minister of Industry and Trade - negotiations may be resumed.
Representatives of ICE Ltd. – ARMY-2020 exhibition operator – met with a wide range of Indian companies exhibiting at DEFEXPO 2020. A number of large defence companies, such as BrahMos Aerospace, Anant Industries, Anant Technologies Ltd. - participants of ARMY-2019 - confirmed their interest in visiting Russia this year to represent their companies at ARMY-2020.
India and Russia have a strong long-lasting relationship in the defence sector. Indian companies annually participate in the ARMY Forum. It is expected that this year will be no different and many large Indian defence companies will attend ARMY-2020.
